It's summer time in Texas and you know what question that leads too? Where the heck is the swimming pool? I'm always on the lookout for the next watering hole. Sometimes I just get tired of REVIVE, SISU and Belmont (keep on the lookout for a new blog on potential watering holes coming soon) and want a change of scenery. Well much thanks need to be given to Kimpton Hotels. That's right Guys & Dolls pack up the family or get your friends together and head over the Hotel Lumen on Sundays. Starting June 23 through August 18, enjoy a family-friendly pool party for ALL ages (Don't expect crazy happenings here peeps) from noon to 6 pm. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, the pool party even includes water toys for the kiddos, scrumptious food, cold cocktails and duh..... music!
Best of all....its not breaking your Tory Burch wallet. Eight bucks get you admission to the pool, plus valet parking (Do people still park their own car?) Water, Lemonade and "passed Poolside snacks" Did you expect anything less you are in Park Cities! If you want to be even snobbier (just kidding) there is a walk-up cash bar and poolside al la carte menu available all day. Its limited but it is from the hotel's restaurant, The Front Room think burgers and fish tacos. Now even though it is open to the public....Space is limited, reservations are required by calling 214.219.8282. Unless you are staying there....then never mind you are in there like "swimwear" See you Sunday! xoxo
