If you know me well you know that I am a avid lover of all accessories. So I could not agree any more with the motto of Flair for Fashion upcoming fashion showcase. "Accessories in the Nude". Accessory in the Nude also known as AIN is an altruistic project that was embraced in 2008. AIN simulates an eclectic range of fashion, art and business. It will highlight the hottest apparel from the new, established and celebrity designers. This years Accessories in the Nude Accessory Fashion Showcase will be hosted by Actress & Model LeeAnn Locken... Think of the show "Big Rich Texas" and co hosted by Dallas Cowboy player Dwayne Harris. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Dallas Contemporary which is located at 161 Glass Street. Press & VIP Reception where you are able to meet the press, designers and competitors while enjoying cocktails will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. The AIN Fashion Showcase will be 8:00 p.m- 10:00 p.m.
I had the opportunity of speaking with Willie Johnson, the Model & Designer Coordinator/Producer of the show. He wanted people to know this event is not only a showcase of Dallas most talented Designers, beautiful models and fab crowd. It also brings awareness to a situation that has no racial or social barriers, Domestic Abuse. A woman called Moses helps abused woman re-establish their lives. A lot of the woman leave with the clothes on their backs, so this organization offers clothing, toiletries and a safe place. It also helps woman get their self esteem/confidence back. The Woman that have suffered and are suffering from domestic abuse a lot of times don't know it is not their fault and that they deserve better and can do better.
